Hi there! I'm Alperen Keleş, recently got my Ph.D. from University of Maryland, College Park. I wrote my thesis on on Designing Effective Property-Based Testing Frameworks. I am interested in random testing, formal verification, their implementations in different programming languages, and applications in the wild, and their role in the context of AI-assisted program synthesis.

Some fun facts about me:

  • I like to play chess.
  • I blog about programming, software engineering, research, in Turkish and English.
  • I run a reading group at the intersection of computer science and software engineering.
  • I've written a document editor with a custom renderer from scratch.
  • I've created a puzzle about a cryptic language, only 3 people other than me have solved it so far.
  • I've organized a programming contest where you programmatically paint famous paintings and pictures.
